ALS CHARITATÍVNY BEH (ALS CHARITY RUN)

ALS charity run aimed at helping people suffering from ALS, i.e. a type of muscle atrophy, which involves the loss of central nervous system cells, attracts hundreds of runners to Svit every year. 

In addition to the 65 km long route (ALS 65 KM, first time in 2026) and 44,5 km long route (ALS 45 KM) included in the Slovak Ultratrail League, there is also a shorter 21 km route (also with  canicross category), relay runs, nordic walking and children's runs. The ALS 65 KM and ALS 45 KM route, both with the start and finish in the town of Svit, leads through the Kozie chrbty mountain range. The 65 km route contains 2800 meters of total elevation gain, in the shorter one, you gain 2000 meters of ascent. Most of the routes lead through forests and part of it through meadows. The highest point of the routes is the Kozí kameň, 1255 m hill located south of Svit. In 2026 the ALS charitatívny beh event will be held on Saturday, March 21.

ALS BEH Kozí kameň 2026 is a part of the 12th edition of  Slovak Ultratrail League. The 65 km route has been certified by ITRA for 3 points, the 44,5 km one for 2 points. Both are contained in the list of ITRA National League races.
