Timravine Ostrôžky Trail :: SLOVAK ULTRA TRAIL

Timravine Ostrôžky Trail is a new running race that was established in 2025. "Discover the beauties of Novohrad with us through a run, during which we will be surrounded by stunning nature, positive energy, and friendly words at the checkpoint and refreshment stations, indulgent refreshments, and unforgettable experiences that are guaranteed to boost our happiness hormone levels." This is how the invitation to this newcomer on the Slovak ultra scene reads.

Po jednej vynechanej a jednej virtuálnej edícii sa 4. ročník uskutoční cez víkend 11. – 12. júna 2022 na trasách 77 km a 33 km. Trasa A Severného živloplaza 2022 je súčasťou 8. ročníka Slovenskej Ultratrailovej Ligy, má certifikáciu ITRA a je zaradená medzi kvalifikačné preteky UTMB.

Severný živloplaz zaujal miesto na mape slovenských ultrapretekov v roku 2018. Debutoval hlavnou trasou A dlhou 103 km, ktorá viedla vlastným územím Pieninského národného parku a končila priamo na historickom nádvorí Ľubovnianskeho hradu. Organizátori pre záujemcov pripravili aj sprievodnú trasu B s dĺžkou 33 km. V roku 2019 bola hlavná trasa zmenená a skrátená na 77 km, drobné zmeny nastali aj na doplnkovej trase.

Na 77 km trase spoznáte unikátny Jarabinský prielom, ako aj malebnú Čertovu skalu pod Čierťažami, vybehnete k rozhľadni na najvyššom vrchu Ľubovnianskej vrchoviny Eliášovke a po hraničnom slovensko-poľskom hrebeni sa popri miestnych samotách dostanete do obce Mníšek nad Popradom. Ďalej vás trasa povodí po otvorených lúkach a bohatých mestských lesoch, až kým sa pred vami nerozprestrie panoráma Ľubovnianskeho hradu. Za ním vás osvieži stupáčik, ktorý sa napojí na ďalší lúčny hrebeň. Popri Skalkách pri Údole postupne klesnete do Plavnice, prekročíte rieku Poprad a ocitnete sa v poslednej časti trasy. Miniete Ľubovnianske kúpele a Novú Ľubovňu a úzkym lesným chodníkom sa prehupnete späť do Starej Ľubovne. Cieľovou bránou prebehnete po tartanovej dráhe pri ZŠ Komenského na sídlisku Západ. Trasa 33 km čiastočne kopíruje svoju veľkú sestru, oproti ktorej je obohatená najmä o pôvabnú dedinku Matysová s charakteristickým bielym kostolíkom s výraznou červenou strechou.

Thanks to the running event organized by the civic association Ostrôžky, which includes two courses (Ostrôžky Ultra with a length of 47 km and Langoš Trail with a length of 26 km), the Slovak Ultratrail League is reaching the Ostrôžky Mountains for the first time in 2026, which we are very excited about. Runners will gather at the start in the village of Divín for the next edition of the Timrava Ostrôžky Trail on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Discover Novohrad and the nature of the Ostrôžky Mountains in the spring through races offering two routes, with the longer one included in the Slovak Ultratrail League 2026. Both the Ostrôžky Ultra (47 km / +2000 m) and Langoš Trail (26 km / +850 m) start at the historic Zichy Manor area in the village of Divín. The longer route starts at 07:30, while the Langoš Trail begins at 09:00. The time limits are 10 hours for the ultra and 6 hours for the shorter route.

The event also includes a shorter route, the Langoš trail, which is 26 kilometers long and is also ITRA certified (1 point). Its course is: Zichy Manor area in Divín - Divín Elementary School - Divín Castle - connection to the red hiking trail Sedlo Žiar - blue hiking trail Tuhár Municipal Office - green hiking trail - Sedlo pod Bralcami - Budín Rock - Budinské meadows - Chalet under Javor - blue hiking trail Divínske meadows - finish at Zichy Manor area in Divín.

The Ostrôžky ultra route (47 km) is a part of the 12th edition of Slovak Ultratrail League. The 47 km route has been certified by ITRA (2 points) and is a part of the ITRA National League.
