Zázrifské pobehaňä

Zázrifské pobehaňä is a trail running event in Zázrivá and the beatiful mountains around. The race organizers, who left the city years ago to live here, want to share this beauty of this place with the ultra runners. The idea of a trail running race came shortly after the first discovery runs, but this dream became reality only in 2017.

On Saturday, June 3, the Slovak Ultratrail League continues with the Ultramagura 71 race, a part of the Zázrifské pobehaňä event. The route with parameters of 71 km / +2850 m and with a start and finish in Zázriva connects two favorite loops of the organizers Aďa and Janko. The first one will take you along the crest of the Oravská Magura - green, full of mysticism, wild animals, life, but somehow forgotten by people. The second loops leads around the rarely visited Pupov hill (1095 m), which is located between Zázrivá and Terchová countries and offers wonderful views of both Malý and Veľký Rozsutes mountains.

The shortest ultra in Slovakia? Maybe, but it can still bite. The fast and runable 43 kilometers / 1,650 m of the Ultrapobehaňä 43 route will sure tire you out enough with its speed on June 3rd. Ideal as a gateway from short runs to the world of ultra races! Ultrapobehaňä 43 is an intermediate route that Jogošíci have prepared for you as part of the Zázrifské pobehaňä event. It will lead you through the home hill of the race organizers - Pupov, through the picturesque settlement of Jánošíkovci. You will also run along the Jánošík country educational trail, the route will then take you to the famous lookout over Terchová, around Mravečník hill, to the saddle of Lutiš, to the ridge of Oravská Magura and to the pastures and fields above the village of Zázrivá.

Both ultra courses of the Zázrifské pobehaňä event (71 km and 43 km) are part of the 9th edition of Slovak Ultratrail League. Both courses have been certified by ITRA (Ultramagura 71 for 3 points, Ultrapobehaňä 43 for 2 points) and are contained in the list of ITRA National League races.
